A new time for a new life and new accomplishments

Hello world!

Now at this stage I do only have 1 watcher, but thats okay Alisea I love you! lol She’s a great friend 🙂

Anywho where was I…. Ah Yes….

Now I was all on the gun (lil later then my peers) to get into the digital age of things and create all these blogs, twitter, facebook, wordpress, gmail, get rid of hotmail, g+, I already have Deviantart, now i need Flickr, never mind my own website!!!!

then… as I was becoming more and more overwhelmed it happend….

We had a fire in our apartment building… Luckily we  did not  loose anything besides plants, crickets, a bed, and a matress for our futon.   We were all healthy,  no one died or got respratory infections (look for (1) for details)
Taron  did not  have an asthma attack in the 11 flight trek down, the 4 that were so filled with smoke that we couldnt see the bottom of that set of stairs. I  did not  have a panic attack or have my legs give out doing all 11 flights. We  did not  run into the fire on the other set of stairs. I  had  a phone so the fire department knew we were on our way out as we were the last two out of the building without aid from the fire department.   Luckily  the fire was  6 floors below us  and our pets  did not die an aweful death.    My two rats that I had shoved into my jacket while going out the door  didnt escape or die  from smoke inhilation.  The old lady that lived next to us that was not able to leave her apartment   got out   AND they later were even able to grab her scooter. (All we saw was her shadow against the glass standing their helpless once we got out..)

Out of all that could have gone aweful and been horribly sad.  It did not.  That is what matters.  Not these blogs, tweets, webpages to try and get my name out as a photographer. Not Facebook where  on my private account by adding someone I barely talk to we can both do our parts to stay in touch.  I miss phone calls, not texting,  I miss just knowing my photography was good because the people around me enjoyed it and asked me to do more. Not feeling I need to become recongnized by the many people of the World Wide Web.  It became a job I had to work at and doing things like photo shop all those little details out of a person that make them who they are. Why they are beautiful.

I have been reborn and come our of my confused shell of a amature photographer trying to become a great. To just being Jen. I love photography. I love those little details in your face, those dimples, laugh lines, that big slightly off center smile that makes your one eye close more, the raised eye brow, the big eyes, those tired looks, those holly fucking shit excited ones to! Photography is becoming to much like our food. Over processed and not enough of that raw goodness.
My hope now is to have more balance. Im hoping to find a film camera and experince that excitement of not knowing just what you got and not having 1,000 images in hopes I got “the perfect shot” Life is wonderful stop covering it up and enjoy the little things.  Yes I will still shoot with digital, and I will still shoot the Spruce Kings of Prince George and try to always improve on my photoshop. These will just be less and lean more to trying to bring out those little details rather then hiding them.  I will still keep, this blog (and try to work on it more,) My gmail, CanadianRockerStudio Facebook and even create a like page, I will of course keep my Deviantart for her long memories of just starting out finding things in art I enjoy.
I will not have the internet at home anymore. I do not have a TV. I must say these things greatly increase my productivity and my sense of peace.  I will update photos once a week.  I can still check Facebook and Gmail, via my cell if you would like to get in touch 🙂

Im hoping to get some new style portraits going. If you or someone you know are interested please contact me at CanadianRockerStudios@Gmail. com

As always thank you for your love and support and best wishes your way.
Cheers
Jen. 🙂
